Ahaadeeth and Sunnats of Traveling

Setting off after Fajr Salaah

8.) Sayyidina Anas Ibn Maalik (RA) narrates that during a journey, Nabi (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi waSallam) would set out immediately after Fajr Salaah.

Note : Whilst on a journey, Nabi (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi waSallam) would set out immediately after Fajr Salaah, and not anticipate the time of Ishraaq.

9.) Nabi (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi waSallam) said : “O Allah, bless my Ummah in the tasks which it undertakes in the morning.”
[
[Sayyidina Sakhar Ibn Wada`ah (RA)  - Mishkaat Shareef]

Note : The Scholars of Hadeeth establish the fact that it is Sunnah to set out on a journey early in the morning.

Setting out after Zuhr Salaah

10.)  Nabi (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi waSallam) performed Zuhr Salaah in Madina Tayyibah and then [commenced his journey of Hajj]. He then performed two rakaats in Zul Hulayfah.
[Sayyidina Anas Ibn Maalik (RA) - Bukhari Shareef]

Note : If one cannot set out after Fajr, one may set out whenever convenient.
